I stood up to speak, dry washing my hands and trying to put moisture back into my mouth. I have my papers in one hand, a pen in the other. I walk over to the podium and speak for about 5 minutes on how ocean dumping is not nearly a big of a problem as acid rain, and how processes to rid ballast tanks of "invasive species" kills marine resources, which is what the other team is trying to do. I then talk about what a boat is, and how a rowboat is a boat, which does not use ballast water, and a t...

Most of my insanity comes at night. My earliest crazy period that I have had was thinking I left my flashlight and pants up in a tree at my house at 3 a.m. during the summer. I woke up, and absolutely convinced myself that I had done that. Even odder, I remember being totally conscious the whole time, including stubbing my toe on a dresser looking for a flashlight to go outside to find my pants and flashlight. Another crazy thing that happened just this morning is waking up and thinking that i...

I am definitely not a fan of reality TV, yet this new idea was very interesting. I really do not like TV, and do not watch it often, nor do I follow shows. The only thing that drew me to this show was that it celebrated diversity. Differences should be celebrated and embraced. Some people are taller than others. Bringing taller women and shorter women together to fight over a shorter man made people feel more together as the human race. What are your thoughts on this topic of diversity and ent...

It seems so obvious to me. What are people's arguments that God does not exist? I would really like to hear them. Please Respond.

First off, which build should I get? I have been thinking about RedHat and a few others. Any personal opinions or anything? Also, Does anyone know how to game on Linux? I have heard Wine and Winex. Does this enable me to play on steam, war3, Neverwinter Nights? Also, Learning the Linux language and modding my own OS's source code. Worth it, not worth it? Any Additional comments?

I think the funniest thing I have ever heard a President say was when Bush was talking about how to prevent forest fires, and how some should trees should be cut down to minimize risk. He said, " You cannot see the forest through all those trees." I believe he said something to that affect. Please Note: I am not anti-Bush in any way, but i do not fully support him. I am in the apathatic pary :0 PLEASE RESPOND!!!!

A speaker once told me, "I am a simple man. A simple man once told me that God's Love is great. He said, "Think of your favorite pet, person, or thing. It has to be your favorite, the one thing you love on this earth the most. Now close your eyes (you have to open them again to continue reading this so only do this for a few moments.). Remembering this love, think of that love exponentially. That is how much God Loves you.k" This exercise can be very inspiring when you do not think of the ...

Mozilla is the man, errr, beast. I have been using IE almost all my computer life. I have just recently swithced to Mozilla. It can be so handy. I hate popups. Yet i play some online games where popups are required. With a regular IE pop up blocker, i would be screwed. But with Mozilla, which has an open source, i can change everything. I can allow popups, cookies, images, etc. on certain sites, and block it on others. I also have everything I want on my web bar, not just what IE wants me to hav...

I am personally a rock fan. I like the riffs, the music, the lyrics, the ideas, and mainly, the energy. I soar like an eagle or sit like a stone, whatever mood i want to be in. Rock can change my very outlook on things in minutes, usually for the better. I love it. I crave it. So what is the deal with rap? Why is it appealing? I personally dislike it. To me it sounds like vulgar poetry that is played through a sound creator and given a "beat". Why do people like it? At a dance or party, people...

Where have all the champions gone? When was the last time a great athlete loved to do what he did best just for himself, not for the fame and wealth? I can name a few: Lance Armstrong, battling off cancer and winning the Tour de France, and Cal Ripken, who could have retired happily many years ago, but hiis yen of baseball kept him in the Major Leauges. This world is losing champions. Not just champions of athletics, but champions of the mind and spirit. Where are people like Gandhi and Einstein...

I have been wondering for a while about other people's thoughts on philosophy and philosophers and phillosophies. Please Respond with your favorite of any of those categories, what impressed you about your choice, and why. I think my favorite philosophy to learn about is Stoicism, the ancient Roman philosophy on trying to better oneself and believing in a greater power. PLEASE POST, THIS WILL BE VERY INTERESTING!!!

I think that most people fail to realize God is not just in a church or some religious building or just in the Bible. Actually, I think we all forget sometimes where God is. While reading an Article titled "How God Doesnt Exist", I thought of some places where I find God, or where other people that I know find Him. To some people, God is in nature. While walking in the woods alone or with man's best friend(s), some people can be closest to God. Others find God in their family or their workplace....

WHat is time? Is it a string of continuous moments, or is it just one big blob? While pondering weak and weary, wait no, nevermind, thats plaugerism, while I pondered about time, my main thought is what is a period of time. Lets take a second for example. What is a second made up of? A second is made up of milliseconds. A millisecond goes down and down and down to a nanoseconds. But what is that made up of? And if you keep going down and down, what are they made up of? I know a person could just...
