This is the age of reckoning
When I first became a PC gamer, I learned a valuable lesson of life. There is the casual person, your average joe. THen there are those who devote their life to some greater ideal. Now, I am not saying that being diehard PC gamer is an ideal. I am using it as an example for a larger idea. When I started playing strategy games, I loved the excitement, the tactical ideas, the ingenuity of it all. Yet that all changed. As I age, even though I am still very young in the eyes of creation, I learn that I am a terrible strategy gamer. You may think that its because I am challenged mentally, or I am just some brat kid who is just raving, but let me assure you, I am looking at the broader view of things. I am not terrible because of my own mental ability, and I am only partially challenged because of my 500 mhz Dell Computer, but because I have not devoted my life to strategy games. I feel lost because I have not found something I am truly good at and can devote myself to. To all the average Joes out there, I give my deepest hope to all who struggle in a perpetual Dark Age of the mind limiting our boundaries in reality. For all those who are like me, when you have found that perfect gem in the distance, that something that catches your eye, devote yourself to that gem, and you will be happy forever.
